Obama's Clinton campaign rally Thursday to be at UNF

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – President Barack Obama's early-voting rally will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the University of North Florida's arena, Hillary Clinton's campaign announced Monday.

On Friday, White House officials said Obama will be traveling to boost Clinton nearly every day until Election Day, Nov. 8, and announced he would be in Jacksonville on Thursday, but the campaign only released details Monday afternoon.

Clinton herself will make three appearances Tuesday: Dade City, Sanford and Fort Lauderdale.

Clinton's campaign also released an ad last week featuring the president saying that a vote for her is a vote to uphold Obama's legacy. In the ad, Obama said, "All the progress we've made these last eight years is on the ballot."

Vice President Joe Biden will campaign for Clinton Wednesday in Tampa and West Palm Beach.

The Republican nominee is scheduled to make appearances on Wednesday afternoon in Orlando and that evening in Pensacola. His running mate, Mike Pence, was in Cocoa, Maitland and Clearwater on Monday.

Polls show Clinton with a narrow lead among likely Florida voters, and 30 percent have already cast ballots. Election analysts have said that Trump cannot win the 270 electoral votes needed to become president without winning Florida.
