Plane makes hard landing at Cecil Airport

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A twin-engine plane was left with its nose on the runway after a hard landing at Cecil Airport on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, the plane had taken off at Craig Airport and was coming in to Cecil when the front landing gear collapsed.

News4Jax was told airport police, fire and emergency personnel responded, but the two people aboard suffered no injuries.

The Piper PA-44-180 aircraft is registered to a company in Wilmington, Delaware.
