JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who shot a cashier at an Emerson Street business and then robbed the store last month, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced Friday night. 

About 10:45 p.m. June 23, police said, a man was inside Smoking Aces on Emerson Street, playing games with several people, when he walked up to the cashier, demanded money and shot the cashier.

The man then removed the entire cash drawer, walked out of the business and took off in an SUV, police said.

The cashier was taken to Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Sheriff's Office on Friday released surveillance images capturing the man sought and the vehicle he left in.
