JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - PDQ has landed its permit for a second Jacksonville location. The Tim Tebow-backed restaurant opened its first location over the weekend.

Tebow is a partner in the North Florida development of PDQ, or People Dedicated to Quality. The restaurant focuses on fresh chicken tenders and sandwiches, salads and shakes.

According to Channel 4 news partner the Financial News & Daily Record, the 4,300-square-foot restaurant will be built at 13702 Old St. Augustine Road. The project is expected to cost $1.1 million, the same as the first location.

The Bartram Park restaurant should be open by Jan. 12. More stores are planned in Mandarin, West Jacksonville and St. Johns Town Center. In all, about 20 locations are expected throughout northeast Florida.
