NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. - A 29-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted Tuesday afternoon on three counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation.

In June 2012, the 12-year-old victim reported that Larry Gibbs Jr. inappropriately touched her on multiple occasions.

The investigation revealed that the abuse began when the victim was 9 years old and continued until she was 11 years old. Gibbs touched the child and forced her to have sex with him.

Gibbs now faces up to life in prison for his conviction. He will be sentenced Nov. 7.
