LAKE CITY, Fla. - A man was arrested after being caught breaking into The Recycling Center in Lake City early Thursday morning and trying to steal scrap medal.

Police arrested 34-year-old Frezell Rowe just after 2 a.m. at the yard at 597 N. Marion Ave.

Investigators said that since May 18, the center was burglarized at least four times.

In the early morning hours of May 22, the owner reported an overnight burglary involving two men who were later arrested trying to sell the stolen scrap metal at another location, police said.

Police also took a report of a burglary at the yard Wednesday and one Aug. 9.

They set up a burglary detail and spotted Rowe entering the yard through a break in the fence, investigators said.

They said Rowe was wearing all black clothing and a stocking-style cap on top of his head.

Police said Rowe told them he had burglarized the business several other times.
