Man buying Laffy Taffy sought in robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police in Jacksonville are looking for a man they said robbed a CVS Pharmacy on the Southside on Sunday night.

Police said the man was trying to buy Laffy Taffy in the store in the 9100 block of Atlantic Boulevard about 9:30 p.m.

When the cashier opened the cash register, the man threatened to kill her if she didn't give him the money in the register, police said.

Officers said no weapon was displayed during the robbery attempt.

The robber was described as a dark-skinned black man, about 6 feet 3 inches or 6 feet 4 inches tall, and wearing a white shirt.
