JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 59-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted Wednesday evening on charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In April 2013, Leon Bullard and the victim, who were friends at the time, got into an argument over money. The argument became physical after Bullard chest bumped the victim.

The victim then pushed Bullard down and walked away. Bullard pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the shoulder and then began to beat him with the pistol. The entire incident was caught on video surveillance.

Bullard faces 53 years of minimum-mandatory time in prison with an additional 17 years of exposure. He will be sentenced the week of May 5.
