JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 42-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted Thursday of sexually abusing two girls.

Earnest Bolton was found guilty of three counts of sexual battery, one count of attempted sexual battery and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation.

In January 2013 officers learned of sexual abuse that occurred between Bolton and the now-11-year-old victim.

The girl disclosed that since the age of 6 Bolton touched her inappropriately and forced her to have sex with him on multiple occasions, prosecutors said.

During the investigation, officers also learned that Bolton had sexually battered another girl on multiple occasions. The victim, now 17 years old, disclosed similar accounts in which Bolton would force her to have sex with him, prosecutors said.

They said the abuse began when the victim was 5 years old.

Bolton now faces mandatory life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of Nov. 17.
