He was also sentenced on other charges unrelated to White's death.

Dingler received 15 years in prison on one count of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and five years each on two counts of sale of cannabis. He was also sentenced to time served for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. The sentences run concurrently.

Dingler's co-defendant, Curtis Henderson, pleaded guilty in June to a charge of dealing in stolen property and was sentenced to two years in prison. Two other co-defendants in the stolen gun case -- Robert Apple II and Jack Lemond -- pleaded guilty in May to a single count of dealing in stolen property. Both were sentenced to seven years in prison.

The gun was stolen in Jacksonville in May 2011. The weapon was provided to Ted Tilley, a convicted felon, who shot Detective White during a narcotics investigation last year.

Four individuals are charged in White's killing. Ryan Wilder, Chasity Prescott and Jennifer Alder are charged with first-degree murder, second-degree felony murder, three counts of second-degree attempted murder, and trafficking methamphetamine. Prescott also has an additional charge of burglary of a dwelling.

Jerry Daniels, a minor, is charged with third-degree murder and possession with intent to sell.
