JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting death Friday night on the Westside.
Responding to a 911 call about shots fired at 9:30 p.m. at 1500 West 19th Street, Jacksonville Fire-Rescue found a man shot and lying on the side of the road. The victim could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives said the man appeared to be in his mid-20s, but his identity was not released Friday night.
Neighbors told police they heard two gunshots in the area. Detectives did not have any suspects, but said it was still early in the investigation.
