Man, woman found shot in bullet-riddled car

Third adult, child also in car were not injured

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Detectives are investigating after a man and a woman were shot and their car was riddled with bullet holes late Tuesday night in Northwest Jacksonville.

Jacksonville police said the car with three adults and a child drove up to a Popeyes chicken restaurant in the 1800 block of Kings road just before midnight looking for help.

Police said a man and woman were shot on Powhatten Street about three blocks away, near Edward Waters College.

Police said the car had a a lot of bullet holes in it. The child and a third adult in che car were not injured.

The victims were taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives said they're following leads.
