NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A missing mother and daughter from Nassau County have been found safe, according to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said Danielle Gash, 23, of Callahan, and her 5-year-old daughter, Kyalie Ann Parsons, went to Kingsland, Ga., on Tuesday to pick up some belongings from the home of her ex-boyfriend, Delbert Johnson (pictured below).

Gash was on the phone with her father when it went dead, investigators said. They said he called the Nassau County Sheriff's Office, which alerted Georgia authorities, saying Johnson has a history of domestic violence with Gash, including an arrest in May on a domestic battery charge.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office believed Gash and her child could have been in danger due to Gash and her former boyfriend's violent history.

Gash's mother was last contacted by her daughter at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Gash told her mother she would be driving to Jacksonville to return a rental car.

The Nassau County Sheriff's Office said it received a report from the Camden County Sheriff's Office that Gash was back home safe. Channel 4 called the Camden County Sheriff's Office for more information and this story will be updated when that information becomes available.
