ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. - Deputies in St. Johns County are advising residents to be vigilant after investigating more than two dozen reports of car burglaries early Thursday morning.

Deputies and St. Augustine Beach police said that in most cases they responded to, the thieves gained entry to vehicles that were unlocked. However, some vehicle windows were shattered and items in plain view were stolen, deputies said.

Deputies said two locations the burglars targeted were at St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Resort and on Mickler Boulevard near 11th Street.

Anyone who may be a victim of these crimes is asked to report it immediately, without disturbing anything in or on the vehicle.

Residents should lock their vehicles and store any valuables out of sight.

Investigators released surveillance photos of who they believe may be some of the suspects involved in these cases.

In addition, investigators are seeking any information that could lead to the identity of the burglars.

Any residents and/or business owners have any additional surveillance video that could assist in the investigation should contact Detective Sid Mickler at 904-824-8304, Officer E. Martinez at 904-471-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477).
