Motorcyclist, 46, dies in Northside crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 46-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash Wednesday night on the Northside, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State troopers said Ronald Jones was heading southbound on Interstate 295, a half mile north of Duval Road, in the right lane about 9:45 p.m.

They said the front of his motorcycle struck the rear of a pickup truck for unknown reasons.

Jones was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene, troopers said.
