JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police are investigating after two teens were shot on the same street within hours of each other Sunday.  The shootings are the third and fourth shooting of a teenager in North or Northwest Jacksonville over the last three days.

This most recent shootings happened shortly after midnight Sunday on Hart Street, near the intersection of Kings Road and Myrtle Avenue. The other shootings happened on Thursday on Detaille Drive and Friday at the Johnnie Walker Community Center Pool in Grand Park near Division Street.

Jacksonville police say they received a call just after midnight Sunday saying that someone had been shot at or around Hart Street near Eaverson Street. While officers were on their way to the scene, they got word that a family member took the 17-year-old teen to UF Health.

The teen was shot at least once in the leg and was in non-life threatening condition.

"A 17-year-old victim was standing in the front yard at or around 1211 Hart Street when an undetermined number of shots fired in his direction from a moving vehicle," said Sgt. Matt Clements with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. "The suspect vehicle was described as a black Dodge, unknown model. There's no further suspect information at this time."

About three hours later police were called back to Hart Street for the shooting of another 17-year-old.  The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says an unknown number of shots were fired from a moving vehicle as the teen stood in a front yard as well.

The victim is at UF Health with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle at the second shooting was described as a dark Buick.

While police said a shotgun was used in both shootings, there was no word on if the shootings were related.

Anyone with any information about these shootings is asked to call Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
