Police: 91-year-old driver reported missing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking the public for help finding an elderly man last seen about 1 p.m. Saturday leaving his home on the Westside to drop off some mail at he Lake Shore Post Office on Wesconnett Boulevard.

Hawkins, who is 91, was driving a 1995 two-door blue Toyota Corolla (similar to one pictured below) with Florida license tag number P655ZY.  Police say while he has never been diagnosed with any mental conditions, an acquaintance is concerned that recent forgetfulness may be early signs of dementia.

Hawkins is described as 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and having blue eyes and white hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, white shirt and black jeans.
