JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man found dead in a suspicious crash last Friday did not die from injuries related to the crash, according to Jacksonville police.

Police said they suspect foul play in the killing of 28-year-old Rodney Stone.

Officers were initially called to a crash with life-threatening injuries at the intersection of Philips Highway and Olevia Street in St. Nicholas just after 12:45 a.m.

Stone was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said at the scene that Stone had a bullet or a stab wound.
