JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man accused of stealing a donation jar for Children's Miracle Network from a Walmart on San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin last month has been arrested.

Jay Walker, 39, was arrested Sunday in connection with the April 24 theft.

According to a police report, Walker ran out of the store after stealing the jar and jumped into a waiting pickup truck. The man in the truck thought Walker was going to steal beer, police said.

When Walker came out with the jar, the driver told him to get out, according to the report.

The driver is in the Clay County jail on unrelated charges. It's uncertain if he will also be charged in the theft of the charity jar.
