JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police say a fight between neighbors lead to shots being fired on the Northside on Saturday night.

Detectives responded to a home near Laney Road. They say two men who had known each other for more than 20 years got into an argument. And that's when things turned physical.

Detectives say one of the neighbors pulled out his gun and fired several gunshots into the ground to get the other neighbor off his property.

Police say no one was injured and they brought the two men in for questioning. They say it was a result of an ongoing feud.

"One neighbor decided he wanted to go discuss it. It got out of hand. Alcohol was involved and a physical confrontation ensued," said Detective Charice Lee with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

No arrests were made and no charges will be filed. Police will continue to investigate.
