West Miami-Dade Co., FL -       71 students at Florida International University got the opportunity to do the "unthinkable" all while earning a grade on Thursday. It was all in the spirit of architecture and design month.

Students were given an assignment to create floating shoes and race across a 175 foot wide campus lake at Modesto Maidique campus. The winner took home $500 dollars. Others who participated and successfully crossed the lake received an "A" and got the chance to drop their lowest grade in Professor Jaime Canaves' Materials and Methods Construction Class.

The annual race, titled "Walk on Water," is an assignment required to pass Canaves' class.
