JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A suspicious device found at the CSX building downtown has been rendered safe.

Police say they were called to the building on Water Street early Tuesday evening after a citizen flagged down an off-duty office about a suspicious device.

The officer found the device 39 feet west of Pearl Street on Water Street.

Police have blocked off three blocks of the area, but say the device was rendered safe and that the situation is a "non-event."
