JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Tim Tebow Foundation has launched a relief effort for victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines.

It has created a link to donate on its website. According to a news release from the group, it will gather money specifically for the ministries in the Philippines that align with the foundation's mission to "bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

Tebow was born in the Philippines while his parents were serving as missionaries. When Tebow created the foundation, he targeted the country as one of the main beneficiaries of his outreach programs. The program is currently working with another group to build an orthopedic children's hospital in Davao City.

Donations can be made at the Tim Tebow Foundation's website or by mail to the foundation at:

Tim Tebow Foundation
2209 County Road 210 W.
Suite 108 PMB 329
Jacksonville, FL 32259

The foundation says all funds donated will go directly to the relief effort.
