BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Bradford County crash that killed a 20-year-old Keystone Heights woman early Tuesday morning.

According to reports from FHP, Savannah Santos was driving a 1996 Honda Accord east on County Road 229 East of Northwest 214th Street about 12:30 a.m when her car drifted off the road onto the right shoulder. She then attempted to return to roadway but over-corrected and lost control.

The FHP reports goes on to say that the car began to spin and continued east and left the roadway traveling into a shallow ditch. Investigators said the car continued east along the shoulder and overturned.

The report said the car crashed through a barbed wire fence and came stopped on it's roof facing south.

Santos was ejected from the car as it overturned and was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to investigators.

The FHP report shows that Santos was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

FHP is investigating whether alcohol was related in the crash and no charges will be filed.
