DETROIT, Mich. – What was once old is new again. Saturday the Police Athletic League in Detroit held a ribbon-cutting for a new ballfield that sits where Tiger Stadium once stood.
Tiger Stadium closed after the 1999 season when the team moved to Comerica Park. It was demolished in 2009.
