Man robs Winn-Dixie pharmacy, demands narcotics

Police say same robber hit Publix pharmacy in Mandarin last month

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who threatened to start shooting if he wasn't given a narcotic from the pharmacy of the Winn-Dixie on San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the man entered the store at the corner of San Jose and Loretto Road at 10:11 a.m. Monday, went to the pharmacy counter and demanded a prescription drugs. He did not show a weapon, but the clerk complied with his demands and the robber left the store.

Police say the same man held up a Publix pharmacy in Mandarin last month.

Police released a surveillance photo of the man they are looking for and ask anyone who can help identify the robber or has any information about his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
