Pit Sisters rescues 2 from dog fighting ring

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two injured dogs rescued from a brutal out-of-state dog-fighting ring are getting a second chance at life thanks to Pit Sisters.

Before her arrival with buddy Hope on Monday, Destiny received 48 staples to her face and neck, and her eyes were swollen shut.

Hope also had visible trauma from the cruel conditions the pair endured.

Both are getting some much needed TLC and recovering from the trauma.

They have lots of kisses to give, bursts of energy and an endless appetite for treats.

The duo aren't ready for adoption just yet, but they are almost ready for Christmas!

Pit Sisters is taking donations now for its holiday party, where each dog will get a stocking filled with treats and toys, donated from the community.
