Police: Man sought in Westside armed robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man involved in an armed robbery that occurred at a Westside Family Dollar last Thursday afternoon, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Police responded about 2 p.m. to a reported armed robbery at the Family Dollar on Timuquana Road.

Further investigation revealed the man approached one of the store clerks and pulled out a black handgun, police said. He then demanded money and the employee complied. 

Police said the man was last seen leaving out the front of the store on foot. He is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old and approximately 5-foot-11.
