JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police in Jacksonville are investigating after a victim reported missing claimed she was sexually battered Tuesday morning.

An officer was dispatched to a missing persons case in the 5100 block of Collins Road on the Westside about 11:20 a.m.

They said an officer arrived and began investigating, and while the officer started tracing the area the victim was last known to be, she ran up to the officer saying she had been sexually battered.

The victim gave the officer a description of the person she said sexually battered her, and that person, Thaddeus Limuel Anderson, 21, was seen a short time later in the area, police said.

Anderson was in police custody and was in sex crimes being interviewed Tuesday evening, police said.

Investigations revealed the victim was grabbed from behind by Anderson and pulled into an abandoned house, where he committed multiple sexual battery offenses on the victim.

Anderson was arrested for kidnapping, burglary and three counts of sexual battery. He was transferred and booked Tuesday night.
