SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Police Department is asking for help in identifying two suspects wanted for their part in the robbery of a Dollar General.

The incident happened Tuesday, Jan. 14 in the 2100 block of Austin Highway. Police say when they arrived at the location in response to a robbery in progress, the front doors were locked but a glass panel of the door was shattered.

According to police, one of the suspects shot the door to gain entrance to the store. He then pointed his gun at a store worker and demanded money. Suspect two then attempted to open a cigarette case but was unable to do so and resorted to keeping watch by the front door while the worker got the money. The suspects then left the store walking north on Austin Highway.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, weighing around 170 pounds and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black short sleeved shirt, a dark gray jacket and long blue pants.

Suspect number two is described as a Hispanic male, also in his 20s, weighing about 180 pounds and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a light blue sweater, long blue pants and black Nike shoes.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
