Labrador retrievers have topped the American Kennel Club's rankings of the most popular dog breeds for a record 28th straight year.
The newly updated list was released Wednesday and is based off AKC registration statistics for 2018.
There actually was very little change in the top 10 from 2017's list, with only two dogs swapping spots and no breeds falling out.
The full list is as follows:
- Labrador retriever
- German shepherd
- Golden retriever
- French bulldog
- German shorthaired pointer
- Yorkshire terrier
All remained in their same spots from the previous year with the exception of the German shorthaired pointer and the Yorkshire terrier, which swapped positions.
