JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 61-year-old Jacksonville woman died Wednesday night after she drove through a red light at a busy Southside intersection and struck three vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Imelda Hux was driving a Honda Civic north on Philips Highway about 8:30 p.m., merging on to Southside Boulevard and failed to stop at a red light. Hux may have experienced a medical emergency at the wheel, according to FHP investigators

Hux was transported to Memorial Hospital, where she was died.
A passenger in one of the other vehicles involved in the crash was taken to Baptist South as a precaution, but there were no other injuries.
