Police: 32-Year-Old Started Shooting At Family In North Riverside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police announced the arrest of a 32-year-old woman in connection with a fatal shooting in North Riverside on Saturday.

Investigators have charged Tawana Harvey with murder and two counts of attempted murder. Police said Harvey shot and killed 19-year-old Sidney Kirksey during a dispute.

Lt. Larry Schmitt said there was an ongoing dispute between the two families. Schmitt said a car drove up to 2600 Ernest St., and Harvey got out and, according to several witnesses, started shooting at the Kirksey family.

Police said Sidney Kirksey was standing outside of his home at the intersection of Ernest Street and Ralph Street when he was shot. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Harvey was arrested Sunday.
