The room was created for 7-year-old Jake, who has Down syndrome, and his brother 5-year-old Sam, who does not. The creators of the room said the challenge was putting together a bedroom that would suit both children's needs.

The StarLight Project was founded in 2011 and creates dream rooms for kids in Jacksonville and St. Augustine with special needs. The dream bedroom was just the beginning of surprises for the Rojic family. The StarLight Project also surprised the family with a dream weekend in Jacksonville.

Jake's room was specially designed to not only be a place where he'll rest, but also a place where Jake can work on therapy and learning. The room includes voice activated touch buttons that will help Jake with his speech. The team at StarLight also created a magnetic wall where Jake can practice his numbers and letters.

The Pilot Club helped fund the entire room for the Rojics.
