All Pro Dads event helps men be better fathers

Event held at EverBank Field

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – There were a lot of families at the All Pro Dads event. Fathers and sons and fathers and daughters doing a few different things from talking about what's important to them to running through some NFL drills, It was all part of the All Pro dad fathers and kids experience.

Hundreds of fathers and their kids took part in the event. Kids were pretending they were rushing for a touchdown then showing off their best touchdown dances. Others were racing against their dads to see who is the fastest.

"It's awesome. It's refreshing for the most part. To see families interacting with each other, all walks of life and just having a good time. This is an awesome event and I will definitely be back next year. I'm enjoying myself," Daryl Lawson said.

Daryl Lawson and his two sons, 5-year-old Landon and 3-year-old Desmond Lawson took part in the event. Lawson said he lost his father at a young age. Because of that, he wants to be there for his two sons every chance he gets.

"It's definitely important for men to be in places with their sons. To help them grow and be better young men," Daryl Lawson said.

The event was put on by the organization All-Pro Dads. The group aims to give dads the tools they need to raise their kids and help them become the best kids and parents they can be. Former Jaguar Tony Boselli has worked with the group since his playing days and said being a part of this event is great.

"It's dads having fun with their kids. Dads a lot of times are so busy with work and the responsibilities that it's hard to do. I know that first hand. So to create an event where they can come out, create memories with the kids, watch the kids have fun and do it together, I think it's awesome," Boselli said.
