Subaru of Jacksonville donates $55K to Children's Christmas Party

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It may be nine months until Christmas, but Subaru of Jacksonville is already in the giving spirit.

The dealership on Wednesday donated $55,000 to the Children's Christmas Party of Jacksonville. That's the largest donation by a single sponsor since the city and local businesses took over the party in 1999.

The contribution is through Subaru's Share the Love 2015 campaign, which included donations of $250 for each car purchased between last November and January and Subaru of Jacksonville matched all of the donations.

All the money will provide toys to brighten the Christmas of thousands of Jacksonville children who will come to the convention center for the party in December.

Customers could also direct their $250 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Make a Wish, Meals on Wheels and the National Park Foundation.
