Local officer's act of kindness after expectant mother's car accident

ST. JOHNS COUNTY – After a local pregnant woman was involved in a car accident, St. Johns County Sheriff’s deputy J. Tedder stepped in and gave her a TY Beanie Baby stuffed animal.

Alaina Baxter Lyons took to social media after this act of kindness to show her appreciation. She writes: “Yesterday I was involved in my first car accident (everyone is okay) and when we were done the Officer from SJSO handed me this stuffed animal and said, "I always hand these out to the pregnant women involved in accidents." I support the officers and always will! Thank you to that officer and all the others out there! Keep up the great work and again, thank you!”

Alaina says that Deputy J. Tedder was very kind and gave her a hug. She says she can't wait to see him again.
