First responders weigh in for Guns N' Hoses

The charity boxing match held April 16 at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The men and women who keep Jacksonville safe are turning into amateur boxers for the annual Guns N' Hoses event.

Jacksonville police officers and firefighters weighed in Tuesday evening at Rebounderz in Bayard for their largest fundraiser of the year.

The first responders will box to raise money for charities including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Police Athletic League.

Twenty-six boxers weighed in for the main event April 16 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena and there are 13 fights are lined up this year.

The winner will receive the coveted title belt which they proudly display at their union hall for the year.

Jacksonville’s Guns N' Hoses event is put on by the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation and is their largest fundraiser of the year
