Local business wins entrepreneurial contest

Kennetic Productions won 4th annual Bridge to Business event

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local production team won an entrepreneurial pitch contest and a cash prize on Wednesday.

Kennetic Productions won the fourth annual Bridge to Business event.

About 100 people attended Wednesday’s event at the Jessie Ball duPont Center in downtown Jacksonville.

More than a dozen local small businesses made their entrepreneurial pitches to a judging panel.

Channel 4’s Kent Justice was one of the judges at the event.

Chris Kennelly, the CEO of Kennetic Productions won a $1,000 prize and will also appear on Channel 4’s Look Local program.

Kennetic Productions is a corporate film crew and has been in business for 12 years in Jacksonville.

The event was part of the JAX Bridges program through the JAX Chamber, which prepares small businesses to earn contracts with larger corporations.

JAX Bridges hosts two major events each year, designed to open up contracting opportunities, as well as motivate and educate entrepreneurs on the best path to a successful business.
