NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. – Players with the Jacksonville Jaguars went bowling with more than 200 sailors and their families Monday evening at the Naval Station Mayport Bowling Alley.

Jaxon de Ville and THE ROAR cheerleaders also joined in on the fun.

The “Stars and Strikes” bowling event was part of Jacksonville’s “Week of Valor” to salute the military in honor of Veterans Day.

Throughout the week, organizations will host events and fundraisers specifically for members of the military.

"You know, I give these people the utmost respect. They do a lot for this country," said A.J. Cann, Jaguars offensive lineman. "When I heard about the opportunity to do this, I didn't even think twice about it."

Cann said the entire Jaguars team is looking forward to doing more of these events for veterans.
