Andrew Jackson High hosts 'Tiger Tailgate Fundraiser' to help Irma victims

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Students at Andrew Jackson High School held an event Friday to help benefit victims of Hurricane Irma.

The "Tiger Tailgate Fundraiser" was held at the school's stadium on North Main Street in Jacksonville's Brentwood neighborhood before Friday night's football game against Wolfson High School.

Throughout the week, clothes and supplies were collected and then given away at Friday's fundraiser.  

Students and staff members also sold dinners.

Half of all the proceeds will go to those in the community affected by Irma.
