Jacksonville March for Babies attracts thousands at UNF

March of Dimes biggest fundraiser to help premature babies, moms

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Thousands of Jacksonville families, businesses and volunteers dedicated to fighting for the health of all moms and premature babies took part in the March of Dimes March for Babies on Saturday at the University of North Florida.

News4Jax was proud to be a sponsor for this event and news anchor Jennifer Waugh emceed the event and walk which raised $250,000.

Several activities were held to celebrate every baby. There was live music, refreshments, a kids zone, memory garden and more.

March of Dimes supports research, leads programs and provides education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start. The nonprofit group has an 80-year legacy of helping to empower every mom and family.
