JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars, Pepsi Co, Publix and Jacksonville law firm Pajcic & Pajcic came together Tuesday to provide 1,200 meals to area charities that are tirelessly trying to make a difference.

Jaguars players, including Malik Jackson and Josh Lambo, helped load trucks and vans full of food.

Each charity received hundreds of meals that volunteers will take back to their headquarters and distribute to those in need.

One of the charities that benefited was the Five Star Veterans Center.

Mason Dwyer said he'll be delivering some of the donated meals, but not long ago, he was a recipient.

"I know what it was like when I woke up on Christmas and didn’t have to worry about food, and 'What am I going to eat today?' It’s a relief," Dwyer said.

This is the ninth year that the Jaguars Foundation has helped distribute the food directly to the families, seniors and veterans in need.
