Penguins visit Wolfsons Children's Hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The kids at Wolfson Children's Hospital were accompanied by two waddling guests Friday morning.

Two penguins named CJ and Sharky made the trip from the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens to meet some of the patients at the hospital.

The penguins were there to help patients celebrate the launch of a new television channel at the hospital called "San Diego Zoo Kids."

Children like Jacob Lopez and Jeffrey Strong were beyond excited to get so close to their favorite animal.

"I really wanted to go to the zoo but they brought it to me," Jacob said. "Because I really like the zoo and I like the animals."

"I saw penguins, and I love them," Jeffrey said. "They are so great. And because I wanted to tell everybody that penguins are great."

The goal of the new San Diego Zoo Channel is to bring the zoo to the kids who can't leave the hospital.

The channel is also being launched at the Jacksonville-area Ronald McDonald House Charities, as well.
