Neptune Beach Police Officer William Torres slipped $15 gift cards into written warning envelopes on Christmas Day during traffic stops

NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. - A Neptune Beach police officer working on Christmas Day extended holiday cheer during traffic stops by slipping $15 gift cards into written warning envelopes.

Like many other police officers, fire rescue personnel, and first responders throughout our country, Officer William Torres was scheduled to work Christmas.

Torres went above and beyond the call of duty spending $150 to buy 10 different $15 gift cards from beach restaurants. While making traffic stops, Torres tucked the gift cards into the written warning envelopes without the drivers knowing before sending them on their way.

The Neptune Beach Police Department said they are “so proud to share this remarkable act of kindness.”
