Celebrating National Pecan Cookie Day with Citrus Distillers

These cookies are delicious!

Pecan Cookies - to celebrate National Pecan Cookie Day!

Approximately 24 cookies per batch

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour sifted

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup dark brown sugar - tightly packed

1 stick salted butter - melted

1 large egg

1/4 cup Citrus Distillers Pecan Whiskey

1.5 teaspoons Vanilla

1/2 cup chopped Pecans

Add all items to a bowl except chopped Pecans and mix. Once everything is mixed up add chopped pecans and fold until fully mixed. Add golf ball size rounds to sprayed baking sheet. Sprinkle each round with salt, and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Wanna get fancy? Create a Pecan Glaze to drizzle on the cookies:

1.5 cups Dark Brown Sugar tightly packed

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup Citrus Distillers Pecan Whiskey

Melt butter in saucepan till it starts to boil, add Dark Brown Sugar and Citrus Distillers Pecan Whiskey and mix on medium heat till it bubbles. Remove from heat and stir for 1 minute. Apply glaze to cookies and enjoy!
