Fall naturally feels like a fresh start — the cooler temperatures make it a great time to get out and be active.
If you've tried before to no avail, or you're just unsure of where to start, we've got some tips to help make your fitness journey a success.
1. Prepare ahead of time. You can go straight from your workout into your day if you plan ahead. Pack your gym back the night before with everything you'll need and set a plan.
2. Pick something you enjoy. If you love it, you'll be more likely to stick with it. If high intensity isn't your thing, maybe spin or yoga is. If none of those pique your interest, maybe there's a runner deep down in you. The point is, shop around, if you will, until you find the workout you truly enjoy.
3. Know your limitations. Don't try to do too much at once. You don't need to run a marathon by tomorrow. Even just a daily 20-minute walk can impact your cardiovascular health, so if that's where you're starting, that's fantastic, too!
Be confident in where you begin and build to where you want to be.
