Jags fans to notice stadium improvements

First preseason game set for 7:30 p.m. Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars fans sitting in the stands for Friday night's first preseason game against the New York Giants may notice some big improvements to EverBank Field.

The organization has enhanced the fan experience at the stadium.

"I've never felt the energy in the building that I feel these past six months," said Curtis Dvorak, better known as Jaxson de Ville. "The new coaching staff, the new owner, the new employees that have been hired, the new vision and the new energy in this building is something. I've been around for 16 years and I've never experienced anything like this. And I really think it's going to be a great season and a lot more fun."

Among the changes, fans can now get to their seats two hours before kickoff, and on the way they can high-five the players, who will now be meeting fans under the Bud Light Party Zone before each game.

For kids, there will be more games, giveaways and autographs at the new and improved fan entertainment zone in the south endzone.

"This is our team, this is Jacksonville's team, and there's nothing better," Dvorak said. "You can sit at your house and you can watch your big screen TV and you can have maybe cheaper beer, whatever. But you're not going to ever get the experience you're going to get sitting in the stands with 60,000 other Jacksonville residents and fans on game day. There's just nothing like it."

Friday's opener is set for 7:30 p.m.
