Jaguars fall to Colts in season finale

INDIANAPOLIS – The Jaguars reverted to their early season pattern of starting slow and never being in the game as they lost to the Colts 30-10 to finish the season 4-12.

Gus Bradley said after the game, "I just didn't think we executed very well. We missed some opportunities. I don't want to make it sound like a total disaster but it wasn't up to our standards."

Maurice Jones-Drew fumbled on the Jaguars first possession, his first fumble in 29 games. Eight plays later Donald Brown dove in from the one for a 7-0 Colts lead.

After the Colts defense forced a three and out the Colts offense drove 54 yards in eight plays for a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Trent Richardson scored the touchdown on a two yard run on fourth and goal.

The Jaguars had a chance to cut the lead to seven late in the half but Chad Henne was intercepted by Antoine Bethea. The Colts turned that into three points and a 20-3 halftime lead.

The second half started with the Colts driving 80 yards in seven plays for a touchdown. Andrew Luck hit Griff Whalen for a seven yard scoring strike and the Colts stretched the lead to 27-3.

Later in the third quarter, a play that summed up the Jaguars day. Henne overthrew a wide open Ace Sanders on fourth and one.

The Colts win 30-10 and outscored the Jaguars in two games this year 67-13.

The Jaguars will pick third in the 2014 NFL Draft.
