With 2nd green jacket, Bubba Watson seeks 1st Players victory

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – While there was no epic shot from the pine straw this time, Bubba Watson still made history last week when he captured his second Masters title in just three years.

In three weeks, the 35-year-old will take on the Stadium Course in Sawgrass in search of his first victory at The Players and the third of his 2013-14 season.

Watson now owns six career PGA Tour victories, and two multiple-win seasons.

Jacksonville Beach resident Jonas Blixt and 20-year-old phenom Jordan Spieth finished tied for second at the season's first major championship and will both be making their way to Ponte Vedra next month.

Blixt will be making his second appearance at THE PLAYERS, while Spieth will be making his debut on The Players. Spieth will attempt to become the youngest winner of the tournament.

There are three ways that players can still find their way into the toughest field in golf over the next two weeks: winning the RBC Heritage or next week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans; being inside the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking at the conclusion of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on April 27; or being inside the top 10 in the current FedExCup standings on April 27.
